It is always a good idea to recycle. There are many benefits to recycling that will help the earth. There are lots of ways in which people regularly you recycle. Some of these ways include setting aside plastic and aluminum cans and bottles and either taking them in to a collection agency for recyclable items or leaving them out for recycling companies to pick up from their neighborhood on their designated day. This is one simple way that people know, in general, how to recycle everyday items. There are many more other ways that most people are aware of in which they can recycle. One great way to recycle and also make a great piece of art is to create an urn fountain. Some of the pieces will need to be purchased but some of the items can just be found around your house. It is a great way to make something new out of something old. You can use a discarded urn to build a great fountain, here is how:
1 Create a steady base on the ground, on which your fountain will rest. This is important so that the fountain will not tip over or rock or sway. You want a steady fountain even when the water is rushing. If the ground is not level, then the fountain will not sit right. It will wobble and the water will all rush out when it tips over due to the unsteady ground.
2 Place the pump that you will be using for your fountain in the urn, which will have a hole in it and you can either use call for a fountain plot to seal the whole around the wire of the pump that will eventually get plugged into an outlet.
3 A great way to cover the pump is to cover it with rocks or marbles, and then lace the water spout through that covering and position it how you want the water to discharge from the water spout. If you want a unique and special, more organized look for the water generated by the water spout, you can buy a fountain hear from a fountain store, or just rely on the water pressure generated by the pump and the spout for a fountain spray unique to your own urn fountain. This will also be important if you live in an especially windy area, you dont want your fountain to tip over. Without the right kind of balancing, a small child or large pet could knock over your fountain and break it. It is for this reason, and also visual reasons, which you will want to add this base.
4 Add water to the urn fountain and plug in the pump. It is very important that you add water first before plugging in the pump because otherwise you could short circuit the pump.
As another great recycling tip, if you dont have a discarded urn to use, you can replace it with a terra cotta planter instead.
