Every now and then we hit a road block in our gift giving creativity and can’t seem to think of anything that would be perfect for the person we need to buy for. Not to worry! A gift basket always makes a perfect gift and with so many gift basket choices you can make it as personal as you want.

Gift baskets are also very affordable and they are available from the very economical to the very extravagant so buy as little or as big as your budget allows. Gift baskets can also be unique and personalized more so than many other gifts.

You can choose to make your own gift baskets, you can purchase one of the shelf, or you can decide to have a custom basket made. Even those baskets you purchase right off the shelf can be easily personalized.

A gift basket is easy to ship, easy to wrap, and easy to please. I mean have you ever heard anyone say “I hate the gift basket I got?” And there are so many different types of gift baskets to choose from. Start by deciding what interests the person you are buying the basket for. Do they have a favorite sport? Love coffee? Love specialty foods? Enjoy bath products? Into fitness and health? Then match the basket with their personality.

If the person you are buying for is into sports choose their favorite sport and theme the basket. Let’s say they love golf. You could add a golf mug, some golf balls, maybe some tees or a golf towel. If the person is a fitness buff you might want to add some sports drinks or sports bars, maybe a water bottle or a calorie burner. Use your imagination.

South American and the Caribbean have delicious blends from the Jamaican Blue Mountains. Columbia and Brazil are also huge coffee producers with many specialty blends. And Costa Rica has some of the finest coco bean on the planet. There are also some unique African blends from Yemen and Tanzania, as well as a Asian, Sumatra, New Guinea, Java, and Sulawesi blends to name just a few of the favorites.

Specialty food baskets are great. Whether you are talking about cheeses, jams, fish products, or a host of other imported goods. Some baskets are country themed while others are product themed. So you might buy a basket that has a nice range of products from Africa or you might buy a basket that has a nice range of cheeses from around the world.

Fruit baskets are also a good choice but be sure to make them up or pick them up just prior to delivery otherwise the fruit can become overripe. If you are having the basket made for you inspect the fruit carefully and settle for nothing less than the nicest and freshest looking fruit. You can also choose from a variety of types of fruit baskets. Some mix cheese with fruits, others use season fruits, or a host of other great ideas.

Bath products make great gifts too. There are so many products to choose from that it can be difficult to decide. Remember there are some lovely natural products too that are very popular these days. When you think bath gift basket don’t just think gals. You can put together a very nice shower basket for the guys with some great products.

Another popular basket is a tea basket. Some come complete with a small teapot which sets the basket off nicely. Normally there are a variety of teas included either from around the world or based on a theme like fruit teas or mint teas. You can make your own basket or buy one that’s ready to go.
