Magnetic Bracelets: Types and Models for Pain Relief

By: Kurt Schmitt..

If you've been paying attention to the news, you may have heard that magnetic bracelets are used primarily for hand, elbow, and wrist pain. You may also know that arthritis pain suffers have discovered them, and golfers have been wearing them for years. Some people wear them as a preventative measure.

You may have heard some of the benefits of wearing a magnetic bracelet, but what you may not know is how to choose from the various types. Let's look at the differences between the types so you better choose.

There are variations, but basically bracelets can be categorized into a few different major categories. Below is an outline of the differences between those categories.

Magnetic bracelets can be made as singles, doubles, triples, or as a magnetic wraps.

Singles - Single bracelets are made from a single strand of bead. They can be either all magnetic beads, or magnetic beads with accent beads of some kind. They can be the claspless stretchy type, or be strung on non-stretchy material with a magnetic clasp.

Doubles - Doubles are made of two strands of beads with a magnetic clasp, and give the opportunity to double the number of magnets. Doubles are normally chosen for either style, or their stronger therapy properties.

Triples - Triples are made of three strands and a magnetic clasp. These can be very powerful as they may have up to three times the number of magnets as a single.

Lariats - Magnetic lariats are also called magnetic wraps or snakes, and can be used as a necklace or an anklet as well. Although varying sizes are available, they are typically 36 or 37 inches long. Instead of a clasp, they simply wrap around your arm, your neck, or your ankle, and use the magnets to hold together. Lariats are popular because of their unique look, and their versatility and strength.

Now that you know the basic types, you can better make your choice. Keep in mind that style and attractiveness are secondary concerns unless you're buying strictly for fashion.

Remember, when choosing magnetic bracelets for pain relief, you want the strongest therapy advantage you can get. You accomplish this by buying the one with the largest number of strong magnets.
