The swivel design helps your clothes hang correctly so there is no pull on the fabric.

They are available in wood or plastic. The hardwood dress hangers are exceptionally strong and they are finished with several coats of lacquer to keep them smooth and prevent snagging. There are two types of plastic hangers available. Those referred to as disposable which are light weight and are used in store to hang garments. The more durable hangers are a crystal clear plastic that is heavy duty and meant to last. You can also purchase shirt and dress hangers with a variety of arm styles from near straight across to deeply sloped.

Pant and skirt hangers are designed to reduce storage in your closet, eliminate unnatural creasing, and keep your skirts and pants in great condition extending the life of these garments.

There are several styles of pant hangers to choose from. Some hold one item while other styles are designed to hold several eliminating clutter in your closet. They are available in wood and plastic.

The hardwood styles are designed with a flat body to save space and they may also have a non slip rubber pant part that stops pants or skirts from creasing or slipping. The wood has several coats of lacquer to prevent snagging. Some styles may have cushioned clips as well.

Wood pant hangers are durable and long lasting. The crystal clear plastic hangers are also a good choice although they are more subject to breakage. The third style of plastic pant hanger is the ones found in the store which are designed to be disposable but actually have a decent life expectancy.

Suit hangers are designed to hold your pants and your jacket neatly avoiding excess strain and creasing on the fabrics. They are a sturdily constructed hanger to take the weight of the jacket with a sturdy cross bar designed to hang the pants over. The bar is generally covered in foam or some other soft material to avoid leaving a crease mark on the pants. These hangers are usually made of wood which is a much sturdier construction than plastic.

Coat hangers are heavily constructed to take the weight of a coat without pulling or tugging on the fabric which can lead to a garment becoming misshaped. They usually have a swivel hook that allows for ease of hanging in the closet and they are almost always made out of a heavy 2” hardwood that has been lacquered to prevent snagging your garment.

Children’s hangers are the mini version of the adult hangers designed for smaller garments. They perform the same job as their bigger counterparts and it’s important to choose the right hanger for the job with your children’s clothing as well.
