It seems that each year the choices in decorating ideas for your kids bedroom increase and this is particularly true now more than ever. Every child whether it is a boy or girl seems to have a favorite sports team of one genre or another. For boys it can be football, Nascar racing, basketball, baseball or hockey. For girls it can be anything from figure skating to International womens Tai Kwon Do now.

Indulging them in their favorite sport is now so easy to do because there are now so many on line suppliers that can provide you with a wide variety of products and memorabilia for you to use. You can get everything from team drapes to even pillows on their bed. One new hot item to recently hit the market is what is called a "photo blanket."

With a photo blanket you can have a favorite picture printed on the blanket that your child sleeps with at night. Unlike silk screen t-shirts which have the picture printed on the shirt with ink, the picture on a photo blanket is actually woven into the blanket itself. First the picture is scanned into a computer and then it is transferred to a special blanket loom. With the information that has been scanned into the computer the loom actually custom weaves the picture right into the blanket itself with colored thread.

The result is a permanent picture of your child's favorite sports star on a blanket that won't wear out, fade or chip off. Your child will love this new center piece of their room. A child's room is their domain where they can relax and find their own identity, so why not do all that you can to make it a happy place rather than a sterile environment. Remember its your child, not you that has to live in their room.
